Soften The Glare return to the studio in Jan 2023 with producer Jamie King once again. Having already released 2 EPs (STG I, STG II) in the latter half of 2022, this new recording will be the final EP (STG III) of a trilogy that the band started last year. Look forward to the release of STG III in Spring 2023. There is also talk of STG returning to the road for some live dates! What happens when worlds collide? Chaos, power, the unexpected…..when Ryan Martinie , Bon Lozaga and Mitch Hull get together as Soften The Glare, they unleash a new world…. an amalgamation of sounds!! When Bon, Ryan and Mitch first met in LA and started talking about getting together to create some music, they didn't know what to expect. Now as Soften The Glare, their music is evolving and constantly changing, bringing in elements from both their worlds and others. Currently their music is headed in an instrumental jazz/rock direction with elements of metal, funk, prog and a touch of chaos! Check it out and decide for yourself!! Ryan Martinie is known for his bass playing and songwriting for Mudvayne. Numerous world tours (including a stint with Korn), MTV awards and millions of records sold are part of his musical history. Bon Lozaga (Gong, Tiny Boxes) is known in the jazz/rock world and jamband scene (playing with moe. and Umphreys McGee) and has released over a dozen albums featuring such noted guests as Allan Holdsworth, Kai Eckhardt, David Torn, David Fiuczynski, with his various projects and has also toured throughout the world. Together with Mitch Hull, they create Soften The Glare!
