From a young age, Maya Simone has synthesized noise to sound, sound to music and music into healing experiences. Beginning with open mics across Philadelphia in 2016, Maya’s raw, soulful sound has transcended the stage into the 2021 release of her debut album, AYAM. A Holy Spirit invoking artist, Maya has shared her gifts at various venues throughout Philadelphia: The Liacouras Center, Coda, Trocadero, Warmdaddy's, WRTI, WHYY, TEDx, NPR Live At Home Series and Sofar Sounds to name a few.
