Mattias Choboter
Multi award-winning Canadian pianist/composer, Matt leads ensembles in Europe and North America. He has recorded/performed with diverse artists like Peter Bruun, Trichy Sankaran, Maria Faust and John Gross. Matt holds a Masters in Musical Performance - European Jazz masters - studying between the Rhythmic Music Conservatory, Le Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris and Jazz institute of Berlin. He has studied privately with innovative artists such as Benoit Delbeçq and self-funded formative studies in south Indian classical music with Dr. Karaikudi S. Subramanian. Matt has released two studio albums and is set to release Hypnagogia ( ILK Music) and Postcards of Nostalgia at the end of 2021. A member of Inner Circle Music (NY) his album Spillimacheen has been described as “post-jazz of a distinctly personalized kind” (Ron Schepper of Textura). Based in Copenhagen, Matt is pursuing his Advanced Post Diploma in Composition and research at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory. “Hearing Matt is, first and foremost, an emotional experience.
