Go Fever

Originally from an Australian country town, Acey Monaro fell in love whilst on holiday in Austin, Texas and eventually made the permanent move to the Lone Star State to marry the guy (now Go Fever’s bassist) in 2013. That year she recorded her debut EP with Andy Bianculli (The Preservation, Star Parks, Feufollet) producing and Brad Bell (War On Drugs, Arcade Fire, Spoon) engineering. In 2016, Acey assembled a group comprised of members of her favorite Austin bands - Sam Rives (Sweet Spirit), Benjamin Burdick (The Preservation, Star Parks), Keith Lough (Burgess Meredith) and Josh Merry (Sweet Spirit, Glass Grapes) - to form Go Fever. The songs are surf pop with classic rock and roll influences, featuring three part harmonies. Thematically, the songs are autobiographical and cover addiction, social anxiety, outsiderness and, of course, love and all the stuff that goes with it. Their debut LP, produced and engineered by Danny Reisch (Shearwater, White Denim, Other Lives), was released on February 24th 2017.
