Cecilia Stalin

Swedish born London resident Cecilia Stalin's breakthrough came with Nu Jazz act Koop "Waltz For Koop" featured on Woody Allen's "Match Point" film soundtrack. Cecilia is actively working with her own live shows at The Barbican, Love Supreme Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scotts, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elisabeth Hall, toured China, Brazil, US and Sweden. She has also worked with pop artists like The Streets, Alicia Dixon, Cinematic Orchestra, Omar, and recorded collaborations with Jazzanova’s Alex Bark, Bugz In The Attic's Daz-I-Kue, written for Max Factor & has had music out on labels such as Compost, Wagram, Jazz FM & Universal Music. Cecilia has released critically acclaimed album “Step Like a Giant” (a celebration of the music of John Coltrane). After selling out the main stage of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and opening for Gregor Porter in theUK, she started her own label called Step Like a Giant Music. Her first release was a project called “The Story of Love” (a celebration of great 60’s pop/Brazilian/jazz songs) with bassist Khari Cabral Simmons (India Aire). After releasing a 12’’ vinyl for Record Store Day with fantastic sales results they celebrated the release by doing a European tour where they played places like Fasching Jazz Club & P2 Jazz Radio to Sugarfactory live for Radio 6 in Amsterdam to Jazz FM & Pizza Express Dean Streets for the London Jazz Festival with massive success. Cecelia continues to expand on her career, doing workshops for Sonos,Royal Festival Hall, Step Like a Giant Music, singing for the Royal Shakespeare Company, and much more.Cecilia has also started a live music & discussion event for creative professionals called The Fika Session.
