Band of Heathens

For nearly two decades, Austin’s The Band of Heathens have carved their own lane—pairing sharp songwriting with a sound that’s long outpaced the Americana curve. With their upcoming album, Country Sides, the band reflects on 20 years of building something entirely their own. Formed in 2005, the Heathens broke through with their soulful blend of country and rock, earning memorable spots on Austin City Limits and growing a loyal fan base one show at a time. Though the lineup has evolved, founding songwriters Ed Jurdi and Gordy Quist remain the creative core, shaping the band’s voice and steady rise.
